PieceWrk for carpenters & subs

For the crew doing the work.

Most construction software is built for the general contractor managing you. PieceWrk is built for the sub: pricing the work, running the crew, and getting everyone paid correctly for what they actually built.

The problem

What running a piece-rate crew usually costs you

  • A payroll spreadsheet you rebuild by hand every pay period, and can never fully prove is right.
  • A takeoff in one tool, a bid in another, and a rate table that quietly stops matching either.
  • Field guys reporting hours on site while you actually pay for units installed.
  • PTO and overtime being the first thing that gets fudged, because nothing tracks them against production.

What PieceWrk does about it

What changes

  • Pay comes off production

Crews log what they completed. Pay is calculated against the job’s rate table, closed by pay period, and locked once finalized, so it reconciles to the work instead of to a memory.

  • The bid rate is the pay rate

One rate table prices the job and pays the crew. Your estimate and your payroll can’t drift apart over the length of a job, because they were never separate numbers.

  • The phone is the field tool

Production logging, schedule, photos, job-walk video, punchlists, and PTO requests all work from the truck, with uploads that survive a bad signal.

  • PTO and prevailing wage handled

PTO accrues off the same production record that drives pay. Davis-Bacon jobs get wage-determination handling, fringe, and straight/overtime splits with an exportable certified payroll report.

Every capability above is running in production today. See the full list, including what isn’t built yet.
